Common questions

Are my documents uploaded to the cloud?

No. Your documents, scans, and OCR results are never uploaded to the cloud — everything is processed and stored on your device.

Is there a watermark on the free version?

No. Vitral Scanner never adds a watermark, even on the free version, and there is no page limit either.

Is a subscription required? Is there a one-time purchase option?

No subscription is required. Alongside monthly and yearly plans, Vitral Scanner offers a one-time lifetime purchase option where available.

Does the app show ads?

The free version shows a small banner ad on a few screens after you finish an action. The Pro version is completely ad-free.

What file formats can I export to?

You can export your documents as PDF or Word (.docx) — no other formats are currently supported. Word export and creating a searchable PDF (with an OCR text layer) are both Pro features.

What is the Locked Vault?

The Locked Vault is a Pro feature that stores sensitive documents, like IDs or cards, encrypted on your device and protected by your fingerprint or PIN.
